I will never understand how people voluntarily spend time wading through that sewer of a site only to find that single speck of gold that turns up once a month

It was amazing until 2008, when all the kids found out about it.

Same shit that happened to Minecraft 😭

Minecraft blew up when Survival mode finally came out. The TF2 team also blogged a glowing review of it out on the official TF2 blog, which probably helped since TF2 was one of the most popular games at the time. That’s how I heard about survival mode in the first place. Before that, Minecraft was basically a proof of concept with fuck all to actually do.

4chan and 4channel are two completely different things. /b and obviously /Pol are fucked beyond repair but /t is alright for finding some (mostly porn) torrents. If we’re talking about 4channel, then /x/ is hilarious and free entertainment and /o/ can have some good car discussion from time to time.

        Newfag

A newcomer to 4chan. Hated by Anons everywhere. Usually this person consists of failure and tries too hard to fit in.

Thanks for the information, I did not know that was a thing!

There’s also the counterpart, the “Oldfag”.

Has been around far too long, hates everyone including himself, and, in his opinion, the only one with the right opinion.

May or may not know how to “Triforce”, but will claim they do. Will Sage a thread, then threaten to kill someone for Saging theirs.

… I hate myself for remembering some of this shit.

It was my haunt, as an edgy teen. Even took part in the Habbo raids, shutting down pools due to AIDs.

I think I’m just below Fossil status, I have vague memories of dialing into some late BBS’, stronger memories of AOL chatrooms, and remember the “glory” days of the *Chans, including the great Scientology Pizza Attack and Fax Bomb.

I’m ultra old. I tell my kids about BBS’s and how you’d have to phone the internet and sometimes it’d be busy and you’d have to call back.
