They only offer Premium LITE now, which feels extremely ironic after rejecting it all these years. It’s like: “So, you declined my offer for years but have you considered… a WORSE OFFER, human?”

Fallout 3 isn‘t even a good game on the surface and I doubt anyone actually wants a UE5 slop version of it but people will buy it anyway not knowing they actually won‘t enjoy it because they haven‘t touched it since release if they ever even played it. It‘s success was entirely carried by hype but was ultimately already outdated when it came out. There is no logical reason to revive it because there are endless better alternatives out there but luckily for Todd Howard Bethesda fans aren‘t logical creatures and will buy that shit and proceed to not beat it and forget about it within a week.
That‘s different than a dock which you could argue is part of the console.
How would it be? Unfortunately there are still a lot of consumer hostile practices going on that are completely legal in the EU. I‘m no expert of course so I‘m curious what EU law would regulate this exact practice.
The game had a huge cast with many memorable characters and moments. Not everyone was going to shine through especially with some fantastic performances like you mentioned.
I think the title of the post is just deceiving and should be changed to the title of the actual article. And perhaps the article title was changed too but it is a more accurate title of the situation.
She probably did more work on BG3 alone than all previous works combined though. The experience alone boosted their performance immensely. Neil Newbon compared his 4 years at the studio with 4 seasons of shooting a TV show and his role was about the same size as Jennifer‘s. BG3 wasn‘t just any job. Especially not for her. Anyone who actually follows her can attest to that. To say it didn‘t change the trajectory of her life and career takes some serious ignorance.
She just has become pickier with what she auditions for.
Most actors in gaming are certainly not becoming pickier with AI looming at the horizon so this is a strong sign that she is in fact doing very good. Certainly better than voicing Child #5 in Original Sin 2. And that’s literally the entire point I’m trying to get across here.
Those roles are tiny. Like I don‘t even know why you‘re so strongly against the idea that she wasn‘t that big before. You literally just have to look up her actual roles.
And yes she was a major factor of the marketing campaign. Again, you just have to look up the trailers.
This isn’t about me or my perception. I am saying this because she said so herself and the Imdb Page you linked tells the same story. She broke her mold with Shadowheart and now she is getting much bigger and more diverse roles. But feel free to tell me about a game prior to BG3 where she took center stage for marketing like she did for Expedition 33.
You can‘t deny it did boost Jennifer English‘s career to a high degree. You could say it‘s not all about her role as Shadowheart alone but it definitely helped kickstart her online presence. She went from voicing children side characters to being one of the most prolific and recognizable voices in gaming within two years and I doubt her role in Expedition 33 where she was heavily featured in promotional material was the last we‘ve heard of her.
So the dollar goes back to a German expression and Marxism also originated in Germany. How ironic that the country was forcefully split with both systems competing against each other. History really does rhyme quite often.
I would have much more trust in their vision if the creative director did compare it to a deck-builder instead of more souls slop.
To be fair it‘s not clear to me whether the author of the article or the CD made that comparison but seeing how many huge and beloved IPs they‘re throwing around doesn‘t make me hopeful unfortunately. I‘d rather see them show off their (hopefully deep) understanding of the toolbox they‘re working with than dropping big names like Mass Effect, Baldur’s Gate 3 or Darksouls.
I think so, yes. Although I dipped out of their blogposts around the time they rented some big office space. That was years ago at this point.
They know it‘s no use telling you all the things you know yourself deep down. No good advice will ever be anywhere near as effective as an idea from your own mind. And they‘re really trying to massage your brain towards having that idea. I think I got that from Inception and even though the older I get the more I think Nolan is kind of a hack, it‘s a good practice. Or at least I think so. I‘m no therapist after all.
Love the meme though. I get the frustration from just not moving forward but the best therapist I have ever had did just listen for about 90% of the time and Shared his own life experience for the other 10%. He was an older guy and he was absolutely fantastic.
Didn’t know about this. This is amazing.
Honestly the cancellation was years overdue. I‘m almost surprised it took them this long but then again it‘s not surprising they couldn‘t even get around doing that.
Man will sich ja nicht die Laune am Stammtisch vermiesen, indem man gegeneinander ermittelt und so.
A classic Merz bend over flip-flop from the books. Remember when he acted all shocked am puzzled about this last week? Whatever is driving that pile of meat has no conscience.
Amazing! The upper left quarter is essentially my childhood.
I recently learned that Neurodiversity is an umbrella term. It‘s the concept that both Neurotypical and Neurodivergent people exist and should coexist. Meaning that no single person is actually Neurodiverse because you can‘t be both at the same time. It kind of broke my brain for a moment when I learned this so I hope this doesn‘t make anyone uncomfortable.
But to answer your question: It depends. When all my needs are met and I have a good routine I can be around people for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week easily. Sunday is usually my alone time then. Outside of my routine or when there is barely a routine, it‘s reduced to maybe 5 hours a day around people at best and I need a whole weekend for myself.
