I played a C64 game where you had missions to visit different spots in the solar system. The space travel part wasn’t realistic, but the scale of the solar system was. I remember having to accelerate to high speeds to cover the distance between objects, then decelerate rapidly to avoid zipping past them. I’m still proud of the fact that I was able to land on Phobos. I think I landed on Ceres, too.

I had to get mine replaced to get a passport. That was ten years ago, and the passport just expired. I’ve got 9 replacements left and I just turned 60, so I think I’m good.

I think the punchline is that she can be distracted from an existential moment by something as simple as chicken nuggets because they are exactly the kind of simple pleasure thst makes her life with her partner worth living. I think it’s rather sweet.
