Oldie but goodie! Travis goes into several techniques for glitching a microcontroller and explains them well.

Andrew Huang’s old conference talks were my favorite. He finally took the best ones completely off YT. His SD/TF card probe and access to the transparent 8051 microcontroller was my favorite. IIRC he also had one on accessing Mensch’s 6502 in WD drives too. Plus the whole book on the Xbox.

I’m looking for a tool chain to get noforth on a MSP430F149 with BSL 1v1 when I came across this one on Archive

Might have been playing with Travis’ stuff for while. In fact, this is probably what I need but I’m looking for how to use the BSL in more depth because I never messed with this part of the tool chain.

…early days of etching when I still got a lot of layouts on the wrong side and just made them work… and that soldering – yeesh

Ooh, GoodFet. Blast from the past. Nice!

Nowadays, so much of this stuff has gone upmarket, what with the $599 ChipWhisperer-Husky. But at least the Great Scotts people are keeping the spirit alive and reasonably priced. They might have some tips on the MSP toolchain.

Hoping Travis gives a talk at DefCon, now that he has a book out.

Incidentally, have Bunnie’s v2 book on Shenzen. Big regret I never got to go visit the markets in-person. Such is life.
