I was sitting here on Discord and there are bots chatting like real people, posting memes, flirting with each other or just having heart-to-heart talks. I’m scared as hell, we’re already living in a dystopia.
Of course, I suspected it was possible, but damn, now I feel uneasy, I hope Lemmy doesn’t go that far.
And this is now considered the norm for us, but in the past we were told that this is how it would be, but people just laughed, and where are we now?
Eh I don’t want to live in such a world, at least Lemmy is still alive.

Discord was alwaya focused on integrating various bots for automation, but I agree, there is something jarring about a program simulating a life it cannot have, by definition. Beyond the deception, it makes me question what appearing alive. It denies that the existance of the perception of something implies its existance. So far, seeing something usually meant it existed. But now, i don’t know.
Damn it, such technological development was so obvious that some knew about it decades ago and some of them even wrote novels… Well, you know, a person will sell his soul for comfort and all that.
