I mean, bosses input reading my heavy attack to suddenly turn their three move combo into a four move combo 50% of the time feels a bit lame. For instance the dancing lion suddenly going into the spray carousel after it would have exhausted its combo and rested otherwise. My main issue is on the inconsistency.

Don’t get me wrong, that fight was really fun and I overcame it, but there are many such cases where it feels overtly like the game just threw in the extra attack as a “fuck you” while trying to learn the mechanics. There might be a subtle cue to the boss’s body language I didn’t see but there’s also the issue of the camera in encounters with large enemies.

On the whole though, as frustrating as it may be at times, often there’s still an underlying pattern. The only fights I think are explicitly unfair are the ones with adds or multiple enemies that add a lot of uncertainty especially if some are off camera. The twin gargoyle fight comes to mind, as does the Godskin duo where you explicitly have to kill both around the same time or the other respawns.

Technically, steamOS because it’s designed to play games and it’s what the steam deck uses. That probably won’t have many other non-gaming features though, and I’ve personally never used it. In my experience, you can get most games without a hyper-aggressive anti cheat working on any Linux distro with varying degrees of effort, just a matter of having all the needed libraries installed! The more popular distros like Ubuntu, popOS, Fedora, even Arch (btw) should have a lot of helpful information out there on how to get Lutris or Steam set up.

I had to resolder the switches on my G Pro Wireless. I absolutely love the mouse but they use pretty much the cheapest Omron switches they can, unless that’s changed recently.

Was surprisingly not terrible to take apart and reassemble but you do have to pull off the adhesive-applied low-friction sliders at the bottom, so I would recommend buying replacement ones if you find yourself in that situation. Doesn’t help that I also had a $150 mousepad that goes with it that’s proprietary to specific Logitech gaming mice.

For what it’s worth I only did it because I absolutely love the mouse and setup; I love the design and weight plus the convenience of a low-latency wireless mouse that literally never runs out of battery.

As someone who tried getting into Overwatch 2 before Blizzard revealed it was all a sham 6 months before the “sequel” even dropped, this looks pretty interesting! I’ll probably give it a shot.

I don’t know anything about non-cartoon guy, but after confirming my guess, the sign behind says “Sneed’s Feed and Seed” at the top which is indeed a Simpsons reference. Apparently it has ties to 4chan culture as well, if the knowyourmeme page is anything to go by.

The Simpsons character is from the episode/scene in question, and I don’t know if he is given a name because I’ve never seen the full episode.

Edit: Additionally, the Simpsons character has been edited specifically to resemble a rule 34 rendition of Omni-man from Invincible, in which the artist depicted him with a suit on, but very skin tight and leaving very little to the imagination with everything visible through the suit. The original image was/is also shared around a lot in some spaces, mainly for shock value but there could be additional meaning. I had my suspicions that the issues I’ve been running into are mostly because of the worsening botting/scraping situation, and in part due to the general very slight preferential treatment Chromium browsers get on the wider Internet, where anything weird coming from Firefox automatically looks more suspicious because it’s an underrepresented browser already.

I typically just look up “Firefox Hardening Guide” and follow what looks like the best of the first few results every time I do a fresh install. Because of that, I don’t know exactly which guide I followed last, but this one echoes a lot of the steps I remember taking. I’ve since turned webRTC back on because it kind of broke discord(… I know, I know, discord is terrible for privacy but it’s where all my peeps are at!) Didn’t tweak everything outlined in guides such as the one linked, but pretty much whenever there was privacy to be gained seemingly without significant website breakage, I’d toggle it.

The user agent thing was bizarre, especially since it was also on Minecraft.net! I swapped to a generic Chrome on Windows agent and it instantly started working again and let me use the site as normal again. That said the user agent thing doesn’t always work… But the fact that it does sometimes may be a clue to why websites seem to hate my configuration.

I have found that it happens more frequently with sites I’ve either not been to before, or not visited for a long time… Again it does seem to go away after 20 minutes or so for any given website, I just find it weird that it seems to be happening more.

I might have been exaggerating the degree to which this happens… It’s been only around 5-10 occurrences since the start of the year, but it happened so rarely before that point in time I barely noticed. Could also be a coincidence, it’s just barely enough though that I’ve been starting to get suspicious and wonder if anyone else was having issues

No, I haven’t had/used a VPN while this has been occurring. Main reason I made the post was that it has started affecting my work computer as well trying to access files from various websites for pdf specs
