What I understand about the judeo christian god is that they are believed to have created everything that has ever been or will ever be. They have total knowledge of everything past present and future, and they “knew me” prior to them creating me, knew what kind of person I would be, and knew without doubt that I wouldn’t believe in or worship them… so they created me with full knowledge that I’ll spend eternity being tortured in hell. What kind of benevolent deity brings a creature into existence just so they can be tortured? If that’s not full blown fucked up, then I don’t know what is.

I lie to myself by saying, “I can stay awake for one more episode” before eventually falling asleep on the couch sometime in the next 10 minutes. Then, approximately 3-4 hours later, I’ll wake up, take my evening medications, brush my teeth, prepare for and then go to bed so I can lay there awake for the next hour or two trying to fall back asleep. Eventually, I’ll dose off and get a few more hours of sleep, although never achieving the quality or depth of sleep I obtain while passed out on the couch.

Flushing a toilet, yes, as far as I’m aware, any toilet, regardless of the design, creates an aerosolized mist containing small particles of fecal matter. So, every time you flush a toilet with the lid open, you are covering your bathroom and everything in it in a microscopic layer of shit… enjoy brushing your teeth later.

I built a shop in a community for the benefit and betterment of the community. Then, a decade plus later, this respected co-founder of the community decides he isn’t rich and important enough, so he starts imposing his will over this community, making whatever changes he sees fit regardless of the backlash and how the community reacts to it. When finally driven out, why would I leave anything standing behind that he could profit or benefit from. So damn straight, I burned down my shop, even ripped out the foundation by destroying decades’ worth of content before moving to the next town over where I heard whispers about a community run community.

In my experience, sports games are for sports fans, and I’ve met very few “gamers” that are into sports.

I also have never been able to finish Witcher 3, started it at least half a dozen times or more, but always ended up losing interest in it after a day or two. Cyberpunk, on the other hand, I think is great. I have several hundred hours into that game and just bought the phantom liberty expansion and started a fresh play-through. I’m really enjoying the changes they made, and I just love how alive Night City feels.

I bought dark souls on the recommendation of a friend. I ended up returning it the next day. Life is difficult enough. I’ll never understand why some people like to feed frustration for fun.

Same. I’ve never been a Burger King fan, but dear Lord, that first whopper after months of eating nothing but MRE’s tasted better to me in that moment than any steak I’ve ever eaten, and that feeling of a full belly after actually enjoying a meal did wonders for my morale.
