This makes me irrationally angry because whenever I hear this, putting the time it took to ask would have been enough time to just type up a few sentences in an email that would explain everything everyone needed to know and then we’ve also got it in an easily searchable format so we can reference it later if needed.

Not super popular, but i’ve been using Resilio Sync for years, it’s from what used to be the Bittorrent Foundation.
The UI has all the features I need but is still simple and I’ve been using it for years and have never had to spend any time troubleshooting it post-install. I’m not sure what that gets you over syncthing though.
As others have said, prices should be mostly stable, especially for big names, but you still might see a few small devs who were like “Oh shit, its the summer sale, we should add a discount” halfway through.
I know I’m likely alone, but I’m actually kind of bummed on this change.
The old fluid system is janky and unpredictable and I have other complaints, but the way things flowed was sometimes part of the fun. I’ll kind of miss the puzzles of ‘Why are my flamethrowers not working again?’

A lot of the time it was technically ‘up’, but just non-functional/unusable.
Most common for me was just not being able to do anything but look at the front page, couldn’t click on anything without errors.

I definitely support that we’ve pushed this show out of the forefront, but this is where a lot of the arguments for the flag as a ‘symbol of southern pride’ come from. It’s a weird argument, and it is definitely not a fair one, but there’s very fond associations in the south with that car even from people who had no clue where the flag came from. Super successful attempt to help the confederate flag be seen as acceptable, whether on purpose or not.
It’s a weird show too for someone who isn’t from the south… Racial diversity is non-existent in the show, but that’s also pretty accurate for its location… It had some awesome car scenes, but no depth. The only hot take in the show beyond the flag painted on top (which wasn’t even a hot take then) was that the government was widely seen as corrupt and it was more than a bit sexist.
I’m not saying that cats are stupid, but I spend a lot of time wondering if cats have anything resembling an internal ‘monologue’ like we do. Obviously, it’s unlikely to be super similar to the typical language/word-based systems a lot of us have, but I wonder what it could look like. Is there even anything going through there at all or is it similar to what you would see in someone with aphantasia.

On the reddit end, the API blackout was probably responsible for the largest reddit migration, around June of last year. It’s the high point for active monthly users for Lemmy on fediverse observer still and we had a lot less lemmy instances then. All those other items would be true beyond turning off signups, there were many conversations about performance issues along with a lot of concerns about moderation.
Probably, look into dnsmasq? I believe that was the easiest way with openwrt back in the day.
You’re not wrong, but I feel that level of support for one of their releases would be a bit out of character for Bethesda (Without the long-term monetization present in games like Fallout 76). Especially so with the trend of Bethesda’s comments indicating that the consumers are the ones who are wrong for not liking some of the more problematic game design decisions.
I really want Kbin to succeed, but Ernest seems to see the project as something he checks on once every few months and then ignores, but he still seems to want to be the only one who gets to make decisions. I get that he has stuff going on in his life, but the solution to all these problem starts with communicating and working with the community, not disappearing for months at a time and refusing to work with the people who try to help him. You just can’t have a successful project with an approach like that.
If you’re talking about the API blackout, there is evidence that it was broken briefly, but there’s nothing indicating it was purposefully disabled for any reasonable amount of time.
There are even posts from the lemmy.ml admins about how difficult it was dealing with the users who had migrated and how difficult it was to deal with the new users. Maybe you’re talking about a different migration, but I have no idea where you got this idea from.
Saying anything negative about China is a violation of rule 1 on lemmy.ml from the admins perspective. They classify anything critical that gains any attention as Sinophobia and file it under bigotry.
I found a guy on linkedin that has the same name, just slot him in and pretend nothing happened, wouldn’t even have to change any of the campaign marketing. Dude looks to be in his 20s and manages a coffee place, definitely more than qualified.
