To be fair thats what happens when essays have minnimum word counts, long essays that are long because they don’t know the topic well and long essays that are passionate and succinct and then padded out to meet the length requirement.

1000W PSU for theoretical maximum draw of all components at once with a good safety margin. But even when running a render I’ve never seen it break 500W.

Saved up for a couple of years and built the best (consumer grade) non nvidia PC I could, 9070XT, 9950X3D, 64gig of RAM. Pretty much top end everything that isn’t Nvidia or just spamming redundant RAM for no reason. The whole thing still costs less than a single RTX 5090 and on average draws less power too.

Iirc there are mathematical reason why AI can’t actually become exponentially more intelligent? There are hard limits on how much work (in the sense of information processing) can be done by a given piece of hardware and we’re already pretty close to that theoretical limit. For an AI to go singulaity we would have to build it with enough initial intelligence that it could aquire both the resources and information with which to improve itself and start the exponential cycle.

Trump feels like a weird paradox of brilliant conman and incompitent conman to me. On one hand he did con about a hundred million people which I doubt I could do (even without pesky things like these ethics I have) so he’s clearly a great conman. On the other hand I don’t understand how anyone could be conned by him because he’s so blatantly bat at being a conman.

Nothing material on earth you can’t find everywhere else, the only things we have that aren’t incredibly plentiful elsewhere are earths unique biology and human culture. Both of which can also be obtained without us ever knowing about it. The only logical reason to invade is ideological so if we ever meet hostile aliens they’re either genocidal zealots or a bunch of sadists.

TLDR: UE5 can be optimized but Unreal also turned it into a bit of a tech demo which can be counter productive at times.

I tried Linux on my current build with a 9070XT and ended up on windows instead (still got linux on my laptop) Based on what I’ve been told you’re generally going to have issues with very new hardware unless you either get very lucky or go through a ton of troubleshooting. So Linux might work in a couple of months but for now it could be a headache.

But we’ve had 2D printers for longer? That would imply that its a simpler task, not having to deal with temperature and layer adhesion and all.

Its crazy how we now have 3D printers that consistently work every time with very little fuss but 2D printers are somehow still shit.
