I don’t use Brave, but I did read that post because I am interested in how they are handling this. It’s worth reading for that.

Filens Android app has trackers from Google and Sentry.
They went from no trackers, to Matomo (that was not announced in their change log), then to Google and Sentry.
Usually before it starts by not being able to see they are interested in me.
Could I have this on a notarized, laminated card to keep in my pocket? Otherwise I’ll just do the same thing I always do.
Sorry, I was making a joke based on the first diagram.
Yes, I looked at it and I hope that Firefox becomes a major player again. Stranger things have happened.
Are you joking? It doesn’t even show up in the chart, even Netscape stomps it. Pfft
Maybe not strictly, but yes it is.
Exactly. That would hold true for the green vegetables (that are cooked) as well, broccoli will become more protein dense through water loss.
Nothing at all. But it reduces protein density, so makes 25 grams of protein per 100 grams weight meaningless. No one is eating uncooked, dried pinto beans.
The legumes are pretty much bs though (except peanuts) as those are dry weight, cooked weight drops Pinto beans to 9 grams of protein. Protein density drops because bean weight increases through absorption.

I think many people see it as normal/expected.
A coworker showed me a video yesterday on their phone, I said ‘holy hell what is this shit? This is what it looks like for you?’ And opened it in Tubular. They had no idea such a thing existed.
I rarely watch videos because I prefer to read. The people I work with spend a vast amount of their free time watching YouTube and TikTok. They just seem to zone out, or be really interested when an ad comes on.
It can be highly invasive and destructive. That said, there are two types, clumpers and runners, runners are bad. Unless you’re a Panda.
Do you have a source for that?
That’s a great read, can’t wait to get the book.
I love paper maps, I have never had one run out of battery, or direct me onto a dead end.
It’s more than that though. It’s an adventure whenever you look at one.
I never use GPS or location services, show me a map and I know where I am and how to get to the next place.
My most recent paper map is of Tobago.
With RethinkDNS you can block an app completely, allow the app (WiFi, cellular, or both) and block certain domains. You can also use DNS block lists, force or exclude apps from either VPN or Orbot. Block apps not in use, block when DNS is bypassed. A bunch more stuff.
This has come up for years. In some circumstances you will be cooler, if the humidity is high you’re fucked. Hot and dry, sweat more, hot and wet, heat stroke.
Their answer, in short: Yes, a hot drink can cool you down, but only in specific circumstances. “If you drink a hot drink, it does result in a lower amount of heat stored inside your body, provided the additional sweat that’s produced when you drink the hot drink can evaporate,” Jay says.
RethinkDNS can show you where it’s connecting via firewall logs and has PCAP
