I removed myself from the food chain a decade and a half ago by forgoing meat entirely. Now I don’t have to have weird moral arguments with myself.

When you said that football guy kneeling wasn’t political, I started to seriously question what your motives are. He literally knelt, during the national anthem, in a political protest against police brutality. Politics isn’t capitol hill bullshit. I’m fairly certain that you don’t have a deep enough understanding about politics to come in here and be the arbiter of what is and isn’t political.
While I understand the sentiment of your statement, and I think it was well intentioned, I think you’re wrong
Star Wars is a movie about the policy of an authoritarian government, and the actions of those that fall on both sides of that policy. It’s explicitly political. It was written to be so.
The law is NOT the “only thing holding us back from killing each other”. There isn’t some crowd of killers ready to go, but oh shucks they just respect the law way too much. What a ridiculous notion. If the law prevented us from killing each other then nobody would ever kill anyone.
Seriously! I just read this and I was like, fuck, I remember being 16 too
You can spin up your own mumble server. It’s not that hard, and then once you have that running, you just tell your friends to download the mobile client and boom. You’re done
No Simba! You must never go to Florida!
Nonono, I meant to comment on the comment above you. My bad.
I can honestly take or leave Hemingway. I was never particularly a fan of his writing style.
That’s rad! I want to go there some day exclusively for the cats
Mine has Switch games and a few Wii games, but that’s it.
Fun fact: Ernest Hemingway used to collect polydactyl cats and now, because of him, there is a abnormally sizable population of polydactyl cats on Key West, FL.
Just plug it in to the laptop? Surely the laptop has USB ports?
You can thank Sigmund Freud’s nephew Edward Bernays
I get SO many weird looks when I tell people I don’t like bleu cheese because it tastes like ants
The thing is, research and learning is itself a skill that must be learned, and they don’t teach critical thinking skills in school. Without an occasional friction-laden experience of figuring something out by trial and error, you won’t ever learn HOW to learn, and I think that’s the thing people get hung up on here. It not “younger ppl be stupid” its just literally “younger people are generally exhibiting less and less critical thinking skills year over year”.
Replying to you here from a Google Pixel running Graphene OS here for no particular reason
There is no PDF?
I am happy to say “I don’t know.” And if it’s important I can and will go and find out how it works
THIS right here is the key factor here that I think people are missing. Learning is a skill and many people no longer have that skill
You can feel how you want, but the water burden thing is just factually incorrect. A pound of beef uses a LOT more water to raise than a pound of lentils. Or are you forgetting that you also have to use water to grow the stuff that the cow eats?
