It’s not that bad once you get the hang of it, especially using a wiki farm like http://www.miraheze.org/
I wonder if it could be done with a MediaWiki plugin, given how extensible MW and its plugin system is
People are already doing that! Not sure if it’s a specific kit but I have seen many with swapped badges around lately.
Windows is at least relatively un intrusive with that stuff, MacOS often makes hidden metadata files with the same extension as the files they store info about
I installed an old program the other day that added a Thumbs.db file from 2008 to every folder containing images as it extracted the program files to disk.
And this is why I’ve never touched anything AI related
2·4 months agoDefinitely not Spotify and no Proton either, the owners of both of those are kinda dicks. I suggest looking for alternatives beyond them.
5·4 months agoFair, though that is a somewhat different scenario. I can completely disengage with .ml and still participate in other instances, and the developers don’t get any support from that.
Good recommendation algorithms don’t change the fact that the platform is owned by someone who is actively staging a coup

4515·5 months agoIt’s absolutely true, look it up if you don’t believe it. This is good for the Linux community as it will likely get more people on board but it doesn’t change the fact that he’s a horrible person.
