Specifically for Windows vms without a GPU passed to it, VMware tends to do a way better job at least in my testing

I agree with this, for anyone at even a beginner level fredora is pretty great! I’ve used it many times for hosting servers, it’s pretty reliable and isn’t going away any time soon

I just use a VM for windows apps that don’t work through wine
Any thunderbolt dock will do, all depends on usecase. The deck doesn’t require any special software or anything to dock. It’s all plug and play.

There was a bug causing logins to not work a few months ago I don’t know if a patch went out for it, but I used it for over a year with minimal issues before that
