A castle guard once stabbed my hound when he busted a serf for heresy next door.
I genuinely tried to like the second game but the characters were so cringey that I just couldn’t make it past the first missions.
I had no idea this game still had such an active community. I remember being so disappointed by the wasted potential when it came out and this mod seems to restore the original vision the devs had for the game before Ubisoft forced them to cut corners. Very impressive for a title that did not have official mod support.
Looks promising. You rarely see Godot games with graphics like these.
I hated Windows 8 enough to put up with it at the time. It’s nuts how much things have improved since then.
Hopefully that means that we’ll get a new Brothers in Arms sequel at some point.
“Maybe you should try getting a job?”
I think the reality is that no one on Reddit gives a shit about Lemmy
I wouldn’t be so sure:

This is less about the instance as a whole. The !worldnews@lemmy.ml mods are notoriously terrible. It’s best to just avoid the community altogether.
I bought Project: Snowblind and E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy for a total of 3 Euros. I’ve been replaying the entire Deus Ex Series over the last couple of months and these two games are kinda similar in nature and I’ve been wanting to play them for ages.
Same here, at least so I thought until I started distro-hopping out of curiosity. And I learned that there are a ton of Nvidia specific problems on a lot of different distributions. I guess I just got lucky with my main setup that I’ve been using since around the same time.
Pretty sure the dogs had their own profit incentive from that deal.
The Linux version of the game is sometimes treated like an unloved stepchild though. I actually played the game through Wine for years because the Windows build had about twice the FPS on my Linux system.
There’s also a bug when reflections are enabled that makes the game unplayable and it hasn’t been fixed for about a year. It took them something like two years to fix another one where the mouse randomly left the window on a dual monitor setup and that one basically made me stop playing altogether. That said, I appreciate them supporting Linux in any case.
“I wish I could reflect sunlight as well as you”
I’ve used old.reddit for over 10 years but looking at it now I realize that I just never had a better alternative. The default Lemmy interface is so nice and clean that I’d never even think about switching again.
Same here, it’s the reason why I kicked Ubuntu off my laptop. They removed any way to choose and made it such a pain to get around the Snap bullshit. I’m on Linux because I want to choose what I do with my system.
