I agree, the idea that the lives of ‘women and children’ are more valuable that those of not women and children is contrary to the premise of what i see as one of my moral axiom: all humans are created equal, every life is sacred. Including lives of people that do more harm than others. care for those we despise is a testimony of our morality. an analogy: It is easy to respect the value of a puppys soul and easy to decline it for a wolve that maimed one of your sheep. Neither of them deserves to be subjected to unjust harm. This is also why i cringe every time i see how flustered reactions become when people being inhumanely deported to concentration camps without due process are recognized as legal citizens vs how ok they are with it, if the person is alledged to be an ‘illegal alien’.
Self diagnosis for adhd and asd is a pretty strong predictor for an actual diagnosis. Also self help is a huge part of therapy/management anyway, so why not do some self help and acceptance? theres no 'cure ’ to either. making it your personality and an excuse for being an asshole is a symptom of assholism. That, however, is really hard to self diagnose due to the nature of being an unreflected selfish manbaby egomaniac.
