I have two servers, one Mac and one Windows. For the Mac I just map directly to the smb share, for the Windows it’s a standard network share. My desktop runs Linux and connects to both with ease.

Not gonna lie, I just map a network share and copy and paste through the gui.

Sure, if I’m meeting a vendor for lunch it would be normal. If I’m just sitting at my desk working through lunch like I typically do, it would be really strange to have a drink and I’d probably be reprimanded.

I got banned from an instance for listing them previously, so I cannot. There’s one in particular who had multi-million karma on Reddit and started just making the same posts on Lemmy, and they’re all very much pushing an agenda with ragey clickbait. Just keep an eye out on the front page for the same name to pop up and you’ll start to notice a pattern with the big posters.

There’s a handful of major posters on Lemmy who spread doom. The experience is much nicer once you block them.

Creating a database of nazis, publishing it, and harassing them seems like a great way to get sent to guantanamo, regardless of whether it’s actually legal or not.

This is fascinating. We have this to an extent in English, but Swardspeak takes it to a whole new level. Something like “Sis is gonna sashay away after this hot mess.” For “He’s going to be fired due to a mistake.”

It would be easier to just find nazi comments on social media where people use their real names and faces, like Facebook. I keep track of which businesses hire the bigots and never shop/eat there. Voting with your wallet and all.

The 90s shows ReBoot and a modern day MMO. Any, really. It would be badass to see the Guardians get stuck in an MMO and try to beat the MSQ to escape, all while fighting a virus that infected the game. It would be like Sword Art.

Major roadblocks to piracy and porn in the US. Piracy will never be eliminated, but the barrier to entry will become too difficult for most folks. I’ve subsequently been hoarding all of the media I can get my hands on in case this happens - I refuse to pay for 20 streaming services just to watch movies and TV.

That’s both frustrating and evil.

I see where you’re coming from, but leaving the content gives a reason for people to go to the site for that information. I wish there were a separate place to put your comments and posts before erasing it from Reddit.
