I just started messing with linux on an old laptop. Tried VNC and got annoyed. Switched to xRDP and it works as intended but performance is lackluster on a local network.
Anyone have thoughts or tips?

Am I the only one who writes the Readme as I add features and do my commits.
Don’t leave your homework until the end and cram away just before it’s due.
Code every other day.
Code. Then review and document.
I also try to maintain my feature list in my Readme. Essentially my roadmap. Work my way down the list and write Code as features are added/updated.
Especially if you just need placeholder art you can use AI to drop in general ideas and later replace the art by a partner or contractor.
If you get a demo off the ground with “alpha” graphics and look decent you can market it better and maybe build a team.
I think a big benefit for this is also motivation. You no longer have a blocker due to missing art or issues with an artist.

The problem with this is loopholes.
What’s to stop a parent company from starting a private sub company for IT needs and contract out the work?

I say free for personal/private use but not for commercial would be a better license.
Costs are dumb cheap for single seat but increases as seats goes up.

It takes about 45 min to hit REM sleep. Which is the point that you’d wake up MORE tired.

MTX is also aiming for kids stealing thier parents credit cards and charging them up. At a minimum they ask ONLY for game credits for Xmas/bdays to burn on games so they have cool skins to brag to friends about.
For now I tried Google play games beta. It’s a type 1 vm instance instead of bluestacks being type 2.
Super easy to setup. At least Google is the one spying on me instead of china.

I’ve had a CEO like that. I call it the sunshine and smoke up your ass meeting.
Since the huge push to SaaS I’ve seen plenty of companies that essentially run thin clients.
The local workstations are just thier access to login to X website that host thier apps and data.
Zero reason for them to switch to win11 or buy new hardware due to “incompatibility”.
These end users can be trained to use mint or Ubuntu and be just as productive at work.
We could actually make flying cars. It’s just not sustainable.
What’s missing is that garbage disposal food processor the Doc had for fuel conversion.
You can self host either platform so you have full control.
At that point anything you run is on you for security.
