Thanks that is what I was curious about. So good news!

That’s what’s wholesome about it!
Do LLM or that AI image stuff run on CUDA?
I believe this isn’t so much an unpopular opinion, but just factually wrong. Like you could read or commission scientific studies showing that a group of average people will react to certain stimuli. Video games are all about those stimuli. And also it’s a small percentage of players. It’s also about protecting kids and teenagers. So while it is profitable to do this, sometimes society shouldn’t allow it.
You could also make the same argument for fraudulent crimes. They weren’t always criminal but were made criminal and are now accepted as being criminal. You could say “It’s our fault for falling for this!”.
Do they require a phone number? I tried to sign up to gitlab (just to post bug reports!) but they required a phone number (which is linked to government ID).
They are not really in style anymore in germany either.
We really should have insulated window blinds or shutters that easily / automatically close at night or in the winter.
But Taylor Swift’s jet?
Maybe in hotter climates you have more problems with bacteria vs fungus / rot in colder climates? Another explanation is that spicy / hot food is popular because it forces you to drink more water. But it’s all speculation on my part, never found any definitive answers.
Yeah sh.reddit.com is a good name for the new new design. I couldn’t fucking believe how bad it is and now opt out! There is an reddit-redirect browser addon to redirect to new.reddit. Reddit-enhancer is also working on improving the new “tik-tokified” UI. My guess we’ll see more expansive and transformative browser addons instead of clients.
Is there a good federated “one click” insta community replacement for discord yet? Or rather, what is the most likely to evolve into something like that? I looked into matrix chat and elements.
Isn’t this because they have anti-bacterial properties? So that you can preserve food and especially in hot climates you don’t get food poisoning as easily?
If you don’t need anonymity you could just buy a domain with a single email and use your own email app SMTP. I think it’s cheaper than most email providers.
Most useful application so far seems to have been to predict protein folding. Have to check up on that, it should allow to cure all sorts of bad things.
Maybe with an advanced lemmy app, but from the website it doesn’t work from my experience. Or is incredibly clumsy.
Lol I’m actually thinking about how to design a long and narrow bicycle camper with a bed, a foldable reclining armchair top that goes on the bed during the day, a split ergo keyboard on the armrests, and a monitor that can be easily pushed out of the way. This could fit into a space about 3m long and 1m wide.
The roof / top half of the camper could be moved up or down for transport aerodynamics. Kinda like a “vanlife” mobile battlestation. But I’d also want a mini kitchen and a burner and a place to shower and poop. Lightweight similar to teardrop campers but where the roof is flat so the top part can fit over the bottom half. And with lightweight solar panels ofc. And with windows all around that can be stoppered with lightweight XPS panels in cold weather.
There is btrfs - a linux filesystem. It keeps hashes for blocks to prevent data rot. And you can configure it into a raid that duplicates data across drives but doesn’t require the exact same drives. You can just group any old drives together to create one large volume where everything is duplicated. At least that is how I understand this, I’m new to this too.
Or a better “landing page” like an app that can manage multiple instances easily. Or merge multiple communities from different instances. But running in my browser. I’m sure this is in the works with the other lemmy clients or self hosting.
Thanks, good to hear!
