It’s hard to tell these days. It’s a miracle The Onion is still in business.
Here’s what it looks like:
Amazing accomplishment. Though, does anybody else think it looked like somebody mixed some pepto bismal in a blood bag? I find it a little funny.
Because we had ~3 weeks worth of dystopia news in the span of ~3 days
Idk I kinda like being able to take a shit without having to fill out a form every time.
I just wanna make video games and eat carbs.
One day I’ll have more to do and you people will be rid of me.
And that day will be a sad one.
And for those that are able to keep to just one subscription, switching to another when they’ve finished watching whatever show it is that said service had, they aren’t safe either.
One of the next steps that these corporations are going to take is to add fees for dropping their services, with year long contracts.
They don’t want competition, so they will try to force you to stay.
That’s not something that really works with industries that are zero sum games. You can’t have a dozen competing rail companies in a given state because there is only so many paths that a rail system can take, and you need to clear out continuous stretches of land through eminent domain.
If a company provides a vital services and fails, it should be nationalized. If a company does not provide a vital service and fails, it shouldbe allowed to fail and the employees themselves bailed out.
Because enshitifying their service would earn them short term profits, which is the only thing corps/shareholders care about.
Go for it. It was already an old, long dead meme when I posted it here.
This but corps
Agreed. Though it has crossed my mind that the in universe explanation for why the Federation is so enlightened and willing to care for all of its citizens because of the horrors Earth went through.
But yeah, definitely would like to avoid WW3/the Bell Riots.
Warhammer is for the tabletop. Anything more is a living nightmare.
Don’t worry! WW3 will be preceeded by the Bell Riots, a collection of revolts by people treated inhumanely and stuck in slums. It will be a fun little distraction before the fireworks. It’s even got it’s own count down now!
According to Star Trek lore, WW3 will begin in 3 years, and last for 27 years.
Buckle up.
So it’s just a coincidence that they ended up killing their competitors? Yeah right.
Then why did they once support XMPP?
I never said defeating them or out competing them should be the goal. The goal should be the survival of services. And corporations will kill these services.
So what?
