Find it more efficient to scoop the entirety of the halved avo out with a spoon, then slice it.

Yeah. I’ve made my own salad dressings forever because I don’t like a lot of the store-bought ingredients. Considering I don’t want my salads to be super calorie-dense, I only use like 10 -15% oil.
My dream is to be sent a monkey and a plywood violin…and then practice every night until I’m ready.
Clearly did not know where his towel was.
I don’t know…Ask Mr. Owl.
Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy.
Agreed.
Yes! Lots of folks with chronic illness find themselves in a limbo where they can’t get decent treatment or often precise diagnosis. Crowdsourcing relief has mixed results, but in such circumstances reports of rigorous trial and error with various approaches is sometimes helpful in the absence of the sort of care a lot of Americans now can’t even hope for. I know this because I’ve been there. CIDP here since 2010.
The Orville sorta confused me about their focus. Having not read anything about it, at first I thought it was a show solely to poke fun at Star Trek tropes. Then it appeared to try to actually emulate ST.
Tiger got to hunt
Bird got to fly
Man got to ask himself “why, why, why”
Tiger got to sleep
Bird got to land
Man got to tell himself he understand
I have a neuromuscular demyelinating disorder called CIDP. And some other health complications including getting COVID induced pulmonary embolisms and being on a blood thinner that has interfered with my normal regimen of managing CIDP.
I’m chronically ill. My ability waxes and wanes. When folks see me out doing something challenging, they tend to assume I’m just fine and must be some shiftless malingerer. Rather than understanding I’ve sunk a lot of time and preparation into trying to be ok for that occasion.
There’s also an interesting Greg Bear novel called Blood Music about computational cells that take over. Worth a read/listen.
In the pre-digital age when most of this was pencil markings, it was not uncommon to see someone had drawn the teeth in.
Was just having a conversation about the phrase “selling out”. Seems you don’t hear it used much anymore. I reckon that’s because the concept is seen as more of a life skill now than some despicable practice. But I feel sure it would be argued I’m just jealous of those sweet living wages.
Synth voice: “Be careful…Rainbow zone…”
Kefir is also an option. It incubates at room temperature. Just need a scoby, container and milk.
This. I’ve watched too many people I care about suffer horribly and die prematurely from largely preventable illnesses. My own health went to hell from some genetic predispositions until I worked out I could absolutely not tolerate a standard American diet. Obviously some people can get away with it more than others for longer. But that’s not me. Found I wanted more life and a better quality of life. Fortunately I had the resources to change my diet and lifestyle. I realize that is a luxury not available to everyone.
“For the love of God, Montresor!”
Well we had it tough. We used to have to get up out of the shoebox at twelve o’clock at night, and LICK the road clean with our tongues. We had half a handful of freezing cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at the mill for fourpence every six years, and when we got home, our Dad would slice us in two with a bread knife.
Thanks! Just subscribed. See they have a couple Metasequoia episodes -a favorite of mine .
