I did it a week ago and it was just a case of passing through the video card. I came across a lot of guides and they were all in the CLI. I assume things have improved or maybe it differs per card. I was just using onboard graphics from an N100 CPU.

I’m a recent convert to Linux and went with Arch. I like minimalist stuff and Arch is right up my street in that regard. I did have issues though, games would crash when opening after there was some code change in the kernel for AMD cards a few weeks ago. It’s fixed now but surprisingly it took about two weeks to get fixed and reach my install. Life on the edge I suppose.

In the early days of the internet, WinZip was a must have tool. My college had a fast internet connection. I say fast but I bet it was less than 1Mb shared between everyone. Way faster than the 33k modem I had at home.

I used my college connection to download so much and then took it home on floppy disks. For files larger than 1MB I’d use WinZip to split files up.

I disagree. In a business environment it is actually really good, or at least was pre-Azure. I dislike that they are trying to push people to Azure instead of on-prem.

For home use it’s been pretty poor since Windows 8 and seems to be turning to shit since Windows 11.

Windows 11 did one good for me though. It’s been enough to push me to properly give Linux a try again. Proton has been a major step forward as gaming has been the main reason I never stuck. I’m currently spending more time in Arch (btw) than Windows.

I’ve ran multiple containers on a Pi 3 before “upgrading” to a Pi 4. Yes not even a Pi 5. Sure it’s not rapid and drags it’s heels at times but for the most part it’s great for hosting stuff for my household.

Home assistant, Plex, Syncthing, Wireguard, Ad Guard, nginx, nginx proxy manager, duckdns, mongodb and unifi network appliance. I was also running Jellyfin along side Plex but it keeps causing the Pi to lock up.

CA is easily in the top list of all time greats for game development. It blows my mind that someone can have so much talent to write stories, draw pixel art, music and code the whole thing. Super talented!

Sorry. Reading what I asked, reads that I am questioning people with ADHD. My original intention was questioning myself. I’ve never considered myself to have ADHD (I’ve just never looked into it) but this is certainly a trait that I’ve suffered from from school onwards. From my school reports they always said I lacked concentration which was true and still is to this day. 30 years ago, when I was at school, ADHD wasn’t something even mentioned.

I’m not questioning ADHD, my eldest son has been diagnosed with ADHD and ASD. He’s certainly different to his brother but not too different to standout to people in the street. I’ve had family members question his diagnosis which is annoying as they don’t see what we see on a day to day basis.

Is this something only people with ADHD suffer from?

I’m approaching 45 and my memory has always been like this. For things I am interested in I’m all ears but for anything I’m finding boring I really struggle to concentrate and take it in.

FYI I don’t have ADHD (at least it’s something I’ve never considered myself to have).

I purchased the PS5 cause the library of games on the PS4 was amazing. Worst purchase I’ve made in a long time. There’s been a real lack of games. The best game is Astro’s Playground and that comes free!

We’re seeing this more and more. Windows with ads, Amazon adding ads to their prime video account holders. Spotify moving lyrics to their premium subscription. The past couple of years are shit and companies continue to do whatever the fuck they want.
