Jellyfin works fine. No point paying for Plex.
Blame the right wing you rich corporations empowered with your self destructive lobbying and weakening of regulation. You and your billionaire counterparts’ push to the right has broken down the very order that brought you the wealth and stability that centered world markets on the U.S. Your reckless pursuit of endless growth will kill the world order that created America’s prosperity. These corporation drank too much of their own Kool-aid.
Fuck Reddit. Only time I even care about it anymore is if I google search a tech issue and reddit comes up in the results. It’s a cesspool of AI accounts and trolls for most things these days.
I work for an ISP, I definitely know how long old equipment gets held onto. Lol. Not saying it doesn’t happen, just saying Cisco isn’t the ubiquitous quality product it used to be.
Most of the internet infrastructure above the LAN side is actually Nokia switches these days. Cisco has lost a lot of market share. Most of the old Cisco switches are being replaced due to no longer being updated. Security wise, not great to keep an end of life switch.
That only happens from incompetence or bad IPAM software. It’s easy to assign a static in most management systems. As long as you set up the static in your router correctly, it should just stay.
So stupid. This is only to spy on normal citizens. Criminals can easily use their own E2EE.
They could have bailed out individual’s loans, and also solidified the banks that way. If they paid month by month for a time period to stabilize things it would’ve been drastically cheaper and kept people from losing their houses. Those people could have paid back in increments over time in taxes even (like they do student loans). It would have kept all those people from losing their homes, cost less, stabilized the economy, and not rewarded the banks for risky behavior. They should have charged the major players in banks too. What Obama did was the worst way to right the ship.
Obama’s policies were mostly Heritage foundation fed too. The ACA was a Heritage Foundation plan. His bank bail out was a hand out to the rich without consequence. His foreign policy was bad towards the middle East and awful for human rights. He deported more people than any president before him. By all metrics, he was a Republican. He was historic, sure, but I don’t think he was any better than Biden in relation to policies that helped regular people or embrace of the anti-human rights policies. People’s memories tend to soften situations or maybe just politics was more muted at the time. Democrats have been right wing lite for my whole life.
🤣 I was like what the fuck is this trash till I saw your comment.

Bush was a bigger threat to democracy than Bin Laden. People forget this unitary executive theory Trump is abusing so extremely was first brought to prominence by Bush. Bush also brought the PATRIOT act to open a lot of authoritarian doors. The Trumpster fire would not be possible without the Bush Jr.
I’ve never heard of being so into your kink you find a way to indulge postmortem. Clever girl.
The oligarchs are getting nervous. Good. I hope they are a scared. Fuck their platforms and their false backing of “free speech.”
Don’t see how they could. It would be near impossible to enforce with current technology infrastructure.
Seems like self hosting is going to be the only option the way things are going.
That describes all capitalist businesses. They always eventually cannibalize their own customers and services once growth slows.
Because the content industry is do destitute. They aren’t making billions?
