AFAIK it was a customer, not an employee. If it had been the latter, that location would quickly get a serious image problem.

Indeed. There still are films with good CGI, but don’t expect Disney to spend real money on a movie aimed at kids to get at their pocket money (or their parents sparetime activities budget). The kids won’t know the difference.
If you don’t notice the difference, well, your loss. I take a nice Darjeeling or Assam over a British Zombie Tea any time.
Sue them for damages.
Once upon a time I mirrored Project Gutenberg. As this was a pain having only 64kbit over ISDN, I was expecting great things from attending a LAN party where we actually had Ethernet speed connection to the internet.
When I started my mirroring script, though, it was not faster than at home. Turned out that the mirror host limited connections to clients in unknown networks to 64kbit.
Luckily I found another mirror host that had no such limits.
There will always be people who overestimate the rewards and underestimate the risks of an undertaking.
Just look how some people still see the civil war as the “war of northern aggression”, and how they still treat so-called “heroes” of the south.
Maybe not eat. Most of them are old and probably way to tough to chew.
We visited an office, and the person guiding us around told us about one of the employees that “it is his first day” - we all misheard this as “it is his birthday”. And started to sing…
“Dark Star”. Absolute trash movie, but also a classic.
Let me guess, they used the hackers invitation trinity of Windows, Office, and Exchange?
The nouns still are gendered. Only the article is gender-neutral.
Tarzan is a man. He lives in the jungle.
Jane is a woman. She is visiting Africa.
The elephant is a non-named animal. It eats fruits and leaves.
If you really want to know a confusing issue about the English language, just look at the pronunciation of words. It is more or less rule-free, and all over the place. Don’t believe me? Try to read the poem “The Chaos” aloud. Even most native speakers need several attempts.
I have no issues calling law enforcement. I actually have done so a few times in my life, for various reasons (reporting safety issues, traffic accidents, crime). And I feel quite safe with it, as I live in a civilized country, where the police is a very professional service of highly trained people, and not just some jerks who got hired because the knew how to hold a gun and then got a few weeks of (online) training on how to write tickets.
My take on Star Wars is that it is about as bad as SciFi can get. It is a Grimm fairy tale from someone who has read Dune without understanding it and the skills to pull it through.
I don’t think that is exclusive to communism. I rather assume that this has more to do with how the government is structured. Long-running politicians tend to being more open to corruption.
I can easily see Trump going the same way. He has assembled enough power within the system to break it from within like most dictators did.
How about reading the text to the end:
Months after the release of the AirTag, Apple launched the Tracker Detect app for Android phones, where users had to initiate the scan. Google and Apple since have continued working together to make it easier for Android phones to detect unwanted AirTag trackers and for Apple phones to spot Android trackers. Recently, Google rolled out automatic smartphone alerts for unknown Bluetooth trackers, similar to what iPhone owners receive for AirTags.
“I’m sorry for you to have this mental deficit.”
This tore my heart apart.
Well, that is one way to put it.
