What’s funny is that years ago in business school we had a case study on this and they tried to spin it as an example of the good private equity does.
Have a feeling they won’t be using it as an example anymore after seeing the end results.
It’s called the Everyman/uberman sleep cycle depending on how extreme you go and it’s pretty interesting. Tried the Everyman for awhile and it was nice but if you get sick or otherwise mess it up it you basically have to restart the whole process. Also tough to do if you’re not single, once I met my wife I fully gave it up.
The meme is that westerners care more that that the people that are seeing their kids murdered condemn the only (while very imperfect) group that is helping them instead of focusing on the fact that kids are being murdered.
And the US doesn’t have the world’s largest prison population both by number and % of population and it’s HEAVILY skewed towards minorities?
Open to changing my stance but can you back that up? I see ~0.5 million from excess deaths from just the Iraq war which is put on GWB. There’s more I’d say he’s responsible for too thats just the top thing.
Wouldn’t count deaths from starvation due to famine entirely on a ruler considering the shape the country was left in post Korea war thanks to the US but even if you tried to largely attribute that it seems pretty close.
Kim never invaded and occupied another country for years so GWB definitely deserves a spot on here.
I started a fantasy basketball community here for anyone interested. I try to share helpful articles I find and plan to do more if it grows.

If by “protect” you mean extract resources and concession from a huge portion of the world and redistribution from US tax payers to Military contractors.
Think they’re way overhated, yes some of the users can troll a bit too much but they’re generally fine and I appreciate that they help stomp out fascist, racist, and anti-trans rhetoric on Lemmy.
Was using Memmy but switched to voyager recently and liking it a bit more, reminds me of Apollo. It’s still pretty early for all the apps though so I have a few and I check them occasionally to see how they improve.
Thank you for all the hard work!
