13 years old, isn’t it enough? 😆
A middle-aged nerd from the UK. I like films and write about them, sometimes for Film Stories or my blog.
Have a great day.

I was really excited for this on the Cube back in the day but all the reviews said it was another average Star Wars game so I decided not to risk the money.
When can we get Rogue Squadron remastered? That still looks pretty damn good today. 😊
The 8 bit guy. I loved his retro computing channel and then one day, he acquired a rare IBM computer and promptly destroyed the power supply by sticking a screwdriver into it (if I remember correctly).
For some reason, I googled about this and discovered he’s a gun nut. They’re videos of him going grocery shopping with his rifle on his back which apparently he does this knowing it will annoy people.
Unsubscribed from the channel and never looked back.
I was being a bit tongue in cheek. GAME took over EB in the UK. I don’t think they’re any dedicated gaming shops anymore, just independents.
Then basically there’s no point in this shop existing anymore. They’re basically toy stores now.
I occasionally look in Game but can’t remember the last time I actually bought anything. It would’ve been a pre-owned title anyway.
Is Electronics Boutique still going? 😁
Took me completely by surprise that Campbell narrated the game and honestly, that kept me going.
I normally listen to heavy metal, rock maybe nerdcore rap. The other night, I was alternating between the albums of Natalie Imbruglia and Melanie Chisholm. There’s some good stuff in there.
I saw such a device on Instagram. I think it was a Bluetooth connection from the computer diagnostic port to the phone.
The app takes this data and makes the right noise based on engine revs. The app was full of different engine sounds both real and fictional along with silly noises such as farting.
Yeah, I have a habit of sharing news that only really interests me. That’s why I don’t share everything I come across. A friend and I used to run a website together, and I got quite used to posting the latest film trailers and interesting news that I came across. Although sometimes I found it really hard to post news about films I didn’t really care about. I had to write something to accompany the video.
I remember games being really hard (or I’m just crap) back in the home micro 8bit days. Then I watch play throughs on YouTube and discover if you figured out what to do, the game could be completed in under an hour!
The Blue Shift expansion definitely was released onto the internet, but the loading times put me off playing the game.
I swear I downloaded and played Half Life for the DC back when I had the machine. I think it was Blue Shift which was originally going to be on the DC first (as an exclusive?).
It was perfectly fine to play but I guess due to hardware limitations, the areas in which you played weren’t that large and loading times off the CD was quite slow.
Another great video from Neil. I will visit the museum one day. That is a beautiful looking machine, especially the keyboard. I was very surprised to find out it was only a 286.
That’s exactly what the Amstrad version was that was released in the UK. A 386 PC with a MegaDrive on an extension card.
I’ll never forget that moment in the game when it felt like you were bending and stretching a spring.
If you goto Open Fodder, you can download an open source port of Cannon Fodder. It contains all the demo and special versions that were released. If you want to play Cannon Fodder the full game, you need to supply the PC or Amiga data files.
Great game, although I had to be content with the Atari ST version. I also remember a special edition for an Amiga cover disc which featured the Cannon Fodder guys invading a sensible soccer pitch.
I was a sucker for these fmv games back in the day. The more CDs the game came on the better. Bonus for lots of recognisable actors too.
I was thinking way too far back! 😆
I see what you mean. They could only afford so many lines of dialogue! 😆
