Manual lawnmower.
The surface RT and windows ME e-machine computer were both a close second.
If we used billboards for something like missing children or traffic announcements etc I’d be okay with that. But pretty much no actual ads for products. Billboards are a driving distraction and I don’t approve.
Whatever floats your boat. But EMS recommends against inserting things that don’t have a flared base. Do with that information whatever you want.
It’s a novelty lay on toy. Not for insertion.
The thing is, if I want something I’ll go looking for it. At the point where I’m looking for it or something like it, I am happy to consume ads even tangentially related to that thing. If analytics marketing worked this way (showing me relevant ads when I’m shopping for something, even if it’s for something I am not actively looking for), things would be better. But ads have worked their way into the cracks of everything and that’s my problem with them.
I hate Billboards. I don’t like circulars (waste of paper and generally too much trash), I hate junk mail and I think it’s predatory. Popups (singing, flashing, scrolling when I scroll to stay on the page, tiny exit buttons, video, etc) are garbage.
Trump would kill himself in a week. Vetinari wouldn’t even have to do anything except talk to his dog during the debate. Vetinari would even put through a request to the Assassins guild to make sure the price to beat was too high to have him assassinated. Just to make a point.
Don’t know. Don’t play a whole lot of Bethesda games. Didn’t play Oblivion. New gamers join the ranks every day. Not everyone has been gaming since the 80’s.
Yeah but it seems like they were not expecting this change just based on their responses on social media, and it looks like Sony didn’t even “require it” until just recently. So I just wanted to know.
Is the game developer involved or is it just Sony doing Sony there are some things that there are some things that don’t things?
Thank you. I was wondering what this was.
Not gonna lie. It sounds like Sweet Baby should be putting their name on things they work on. Their reputation should reflect their body of work. If their poor writing is the reason people are disappointed in games, then people have a right to know. The problem is that it sounds like what they actually do isn’t writing, it’s some sort of EO QC. From what I have been able to find online, it seems like they get hired by game developers to sanitize games in a way that would appear (to some people) to be inclusive ways. However, just because you’re not a fan of their choice to make a male character female or vice versa, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bigot. This sounds like the same sort of thing WoTC is doing with their own IP by trying to change Drow etc. I don’t agree that Drow are problematic.
I don’t intend to spend money on new IP made products that seem to want to change lore and such with the intent of “being more inclusive” or less problematic.
Specifically because I feel like this wasn’t a conversation people were having until some people who are not negatively effected by the black = evil stereotype in media have all the sudden decided to white knight a movement against it in the most ham fisted way possible and it’s often pretty insulting.
I have said repeatedly that inclusivity works when the differences aren’t highlighted and there is a successful and not forced way to make that a part of most media, but making it the singular feature of a character in any media (that their existence is there just to fill a quota) is just tokenism.
Yeah. That makes sense. I’m just gonna say that I don’t know if there is a solution to those problems (being a shut in, or looking for players in this community). I know that the Reddit community was very much against LFG threads, and that it’s hard to step outside your comfort zone. But good luck. I think instituting a rule about toxic behaviours in and out of game toward other players and so on might help, but I don’t know that it will eliminate the possibility of this kind of situation.
The first table I played at I didn’t have the best experience. Some of the people I played with were quite toxic in their own ways and others I liked out of game but found to be obnoxious or otherwise disruptive in ways that made it hard for me to play with them. I was just happy to be invited to a table though so I didn’t set boundaries like I should have. At this point I haven’t played in about six months (DM had to move and we haven’t started back up because their life is still a bit of a shambles), and I miss it, but don’t think I want to start over at another table again.
Size. Not everyone has ginormous hands. The steam deck feels big and unwieldy despite being fairly light. I also don’t like the ergonomics of the steam deck, and I would miss the colours and so on. But also not everyone wants to emulate Nintendo games. Half the fun of animal crossing was sharing experiences with other players online. Same with smash bros. Emulation isn’t at a point where I would consider it to be for the masses and certainly not for a lot of kids these days.
The steam deck is a great device and there should be competition in this space of portables. But not everything about it is perfect for everyone.
I didn’t read all of it, so perhaps I am missing some bits but this is a lot of drama. Seems like there are a lot of people looking for a game on places like Reddit (I know I know, Reddit is the devil) for you not to be able to find at least one more party member there. But vetting members in the future is going to be necessary I think to avoid these same kinds of players.
I love Metroidvanias, 2D platformers, and generally even games that came before them that were similar in style but don’t meet all the Metroidvanias criteria. But I really really kind of dislike pretty much all of the Mario games. There’s a delay in the control scheme that makes timing difficult for me, and I can’t seem to get over that. I actually gave away Mario Odyssey because I couldn’t really play it well at all after about 10 hours. For me it’s not intuitive despite my like for both 2d and 3d Metroidvanias style games.
I can’t get through path of pain and I’m done with trying.
Probably Hollow Knight at this rate. That 112% is a lot.
Other platforms exist. I’m sure they’ll be fine.
