I laughed so hard. Then I cried remembering good old days of eth0
.
People gatekeeping what it means to be a 90s kid wasn’t on my bingo card for today lol.
That is not a good excuse for a company that makes money thanks to Java.
You know this book is not real because Arch Linux has no failures 😎
I doubt they will. Ninendo is not fighting with PS and Xbox, and it surely has no reason to fight with Steam Deck and other powerful portables. They found their market, and they are extremely successful at what they are doing. One does not need super hardware to create wonderful games.
Yeah, that is exactly what somebody who is planning to announce Switch 2 would say.
The title says:
An alternative to Gmail
If the title is misleading, the problem is not on my side.
Gmail is a service. A client is a client. A client can’t be an alternative to a service just like Firefox can’t be an alternative to Lemmy.
What color should the blue screen of death be if not blue! I guess it’s coming from Windows: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_screen_of_death
An early blue error screen first existed in the Beta Release of Windows 1.0; if Windows found a different DOS version than it expected, the error message “Incorrect DOS version” alongside other text messages detailing what check failed to pass would be appended to the boot screen before starting normally.
Yes, but they sue Steam that has competitors selling games for the same price instead of literal monopolies. Even Apple was forced to open up to other app stores.
My favorite recent example:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1493640/Banishers_Ghosts_of_New_Eden/ (50 EUR)
https://www.playstation.com/de-de/games/banishers-ghosts-of-new-eden/ (60 EUR)
PS5 game on sale did cost 2 EUR less than the regular price on Steam. I don’t think Steam overcharges me. It’s not like the game is cheaper somewhere else on PC either: https://store.epicgames.com/de/p/banishers-ghosts-of-new-eden-f9e3f2?lang=de (50 EUR)
I use Debian on my home server and CentOS on my VPS.
needs a few seconds to run
Depends on what you’re compiling!
62 questions. I guess I am lazy.
But it’s not a hard requirement unless you expect to have lots of local communities posting pictures.
Doesn’t lemmy sync posts, comments, and pictures with other instances? I remember after a CP attack some instances manually turned it off in the code to avoid troubles, and also had to clear their storage.
Wow, pay extra 30 EUR to play 2 weeks earlier and avoid spoilers. I might just as well pirate it.
If there are too many comments, it means you have to support them just like the code itself. Otherwise, like any other documentation, comments will quickly go out of sync.
I’m not sure what to feel about this. I’m a huge fan of the series, but I’ll wait for real reviews from real players.
Yeah, but then it’s easier to download the whole game rather than buying a CD/DVD drive.
