This is kind of niche, but my work/study playlist is mostly Mick Gordon (probably best known for his work on the Bethesda reboots of the Doom and Wolfenstein games). It’s hard to tie down to a specific genre, but could be described as somewhere between metal and electronica.

This is the thing I really don’t understand about the AI crowd. I would be so much more supportive of companies like openai if they they were pursuing the automation of the dull tasks nobody wants to do, rather than flagrantly breaking copyright laws (the same ones that have been weaponised against normal folks) to create a pale imitation of human creativity.

Like, shit. I want a machine that will do my taxes and fold my laundry so that I have more time to pursue artistic endeavors.

That’s fair, I really enjoy my rereads. While I do remember the main story beats and characters across the series, there’s just so much to remember! The depth of the world is easily on par with, if not surpassing, Tolkien’s work.

The Malazan Book of the Fallen saga is so long that I tend to forget most of the plot of the earlier books by the time I finish.
