A couple of low level bank workers went to jail, not any of those actually responsible. Iceland has also had a financial crisis regularly, so I don’t know about fine. Sometimes its better to be part of something bigger, like NATO or the EU.
Have you checked out Buypass? Norwegian alternative to Let’s Encrypt. I have been meaning to try it, should be drop in replacement for LE witch acme.
