Looking through an archeological lens, sheep bone games and cult practices probably look the same. Imagine thousands of years from now, they’ll probably see like football fans as a cult.

Right? My partner’s sex life before me is irrelevant to the relationship
Let me translate that.
If you get overworked at an exploitative minimum wage job, then that’s definitely on you
Don’t worry, they have DreamBerd
Booleans can be true, false or maybe. Technical info: Booleans are stored as one-and-a-half bits.
That’s ironic coming from Wendigoon, previous member of the Boogaloo Boys
This is exactly why we should have 4 day work weeks. Especially when you replace “shop” with “doctor’s office”
I used to find stuff like this fascinating. Like if collecting my data can help me, why not? But technology has gotten to a point that it’s just straight up creepy how our every single waking moment can be tracked and collected, even if it’s me collecting it. It’s like watching every dystopian sci-fi story come to life in real time.
The recent Disney lawsuit reminded me of this. In order to get those deals, McDonald’s makes you use their app, and part of signing up for the app is agreeing to their ToS which has an arbitration clause
Tasker is the reason Android is so much better than iOS
This reminds me of Flexplay, which was a DVD that had a coating which made the disk unreadable after 48 hours. Technology Connections did a wonderful video about it.
Every cat is a kitten and every dog is a puppy
I had a neighbor come to my door wanting to read some bible verses. I was initially combative because I’m trans and have a pride flag in my window and was ready to be preached to about how I’m a sinner. I’m not religious but we actually had a really nice conversation about exactly this. I told them that I don’t believe in Jesus but do believe in the message of the bible, being a loving and caring person to everybody, and how conservatives have completely twisted the meaning to attack people like me. They read me a couple verses supporting that and how conservatives go against everything the bible says. It really gave me hope and what I was expecting to ruin my day actually made it instead.
Ngl, I still do the modern version of this. I tend to leave GPS off on my phone, so I’ll use Google Maps or OpenStreetMap to plan a route beforehand and then just use road signs to navigate.
People underestimate just how massive California is. There are a lot of people across a large span of land that require electricity. I imagine the map would look very different if it was scaled by population.
I’m not sure how it works in Europe, but power grids being privatized is a big issue in USA. It’s essentially a monopoly where one company owns and operates the grids in one or a few states. There’s no incentive to maintain the grid because there’s no competition and they receive government funding whenever a crisis like this occurs. It’s cheaper to just eat the fines than it is to buy electricity from neighboring states.
Then don’t get a septum piercing. Other people find them attractive and cool. There’s no need to insult somebody because you don’t like what they choose to do with their body.
Reddit would call this an abusive relationship
Calling them “dupes” is the lingo used in fashion and makeup, idk about elsewhere. I think the distinction is that a dupe is a knockoff instead of a counterfeit.
AI as a technology is fascinating and can be extremely useful, especially in places like the medical field. AI as a product in its current state is nothing more than dystopian plagiarism.
