What do you like most about BookWyrm? Which features do you use most frequently?
Keep track of reading and read books, rating, and ocasionally reviewing.
Are there any features or interactions that you find frustrating or unintuitive?
I think search could be better, but I guess the limitations come from the APIs it uses to fetch the info.
Another thing I wish was a little better is filtering by language, but again, maybe users don’t select the language of their reviews and everything gets mixed.
What features do you think are missing or could be improved?
Maybe a “bookshelf” view where all the covers are shown in a gallery style, purely for aesthetic purposes.
How do you feel about the interface (design, readability, navigation)?
It feels a bit disorganized, or it sometimes becomes a bit “cyclic” where I am trying to find something and I keep going into links, that lead me into other links, to other links and I end up in the page where I started.
Do you use BookWyrm (or similar platforms) mainly to manage your personal library (individual use), or to get recommendations, join discussions, and engage with others (social use)?
My list and reviews are public but I use it as a personal journal or db, I barely engage in any of the social features, if at all.
Do you mainly use BookWyrm on a mobile device or on a computer? And why?
Both. Conputer for writing reviews (bigger screen, keyboard), mobile to quickly add a book I started reading or just finished, and things like that (quick access). I have a shortcut to my Bookwyrm in my apps list I created with Firefox.
Do you also use other platforms (e.g., Goodreads, StoryGraph, LibraryThing)? If yes, what makes you prefer one over the other?
Tried Goodreads and I ditched because the fediverse rocks and centralized platforms suck ass.
