Even if it’s not possible via some config or shell wizardry, you can always recompile the modified source
WhatsApp being not as bad as it used to be is a low bar that doesn’t really speak to any sort of reliability or trustworthiness
Yeah, bought the st300 after having repeated issues with ventoy not properly mounting disk images causing multiple Linux distro installs to fail. My st300 might be one of my best investments as a technician just for how seamless and simple it is to use.
All the 8 year old hackers running linux were toppling their child labor industry
I can only imagine “tights” was supposed to be “thoughts”? Still, clearly exhibits a deep misunderstanding of what she’s talking about
I’ve worked in IT my whole career and if someone wants me yo install Linux on their machine, or has questions about bash scripting, I’m dropping whatever I’m doing to help them.
How else are my friends and family supposed to teach each other it nobody teaches them? Not everyone was as lucky as I was to be encouraged to pursue tech, that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve the same privacy and options that I benefit from.
I find dockerization tends to make things waaaay easier to bring up/take down with simple yet consistent configuration schemes. I distribute all my self hosted stuff across a small cluster of machines- if I want to move a service from one to another it’s as easy as moving the config folder and the docker-compose. Don’t need to have startup scripts, or remembering installation steps after a fresh install, or worry about python/package versions. Plus it helps keep track of what services are set up, soni don’t have to worry about leaving anything unused but still installed and running. And updating is as easy as pulling the images and recreating the containers.

This is about as politically agnostic as it gets. I don’t care for some of the eurocentrism I’ve seen in the ongoing conversation, but it arises from concerns that other western countries are experiencing following their reliance on the increasingly-unstable american empire.
My condolences for being stuck with Verizon. Learned the hard way that any phone originally from their network can’t have its bootloader unlocked, even if the manufacturer otherwise supports it.
You can’t get a virus if your computer’s already dependent on one!
Andy Yen’s messages were echoed and doubled-down on by official Proton accounts.
The truth to the posts made are the critiques of the Democratic party, not their praise of the republican party. If their posts consisted only of the former, there would be nothing to argue with. But their statements included the unhinged notion that Republicans are somehow antitrust and will fight monopolies.
I would say it is wrong to praise an opponent for doing something right when the only basis for it is that one of their opponents is also fucking up. The fact that democrats are controlled by money has no bearing on whether or not Republicans are.
