My RuneScape account got rinsed because of my teenage stupidity in the early 2000’s, learned a very valuable lesson and haven’t been scammed since.
Pretty much the only thing Windows has going for it is hardware support, and that’s purely down to manufacturers not supporting Linux so I can’t even give MS kudos for that.
If my simracing hardware ever gets decent support I’m switching all my machines over.
I love the idea of peppermint OS but it didn’t work properly on my laptop both times I tried it, first time it wouldn’t install any of the extras I selected during the install process and the second time using the Debian 12 base it just straight up wouldn’t give me an option to install extras and the window would instantly close when I tried to open it. I really love the ideology behind it and it is a speedy OS but I’ve ended up going to LMDE instead while I toy with the idea of Arch.
It’s heavy to give up on something after 8 years but power to you for sticking to your guns, your energy will be far better spent elsewhere.
