    This is all so dumb. So many options for Apple here. If they lose this case they could:

    • Include a “choose your search provider” during Safari startup. Or prompt during setup assistant. Apple still gets paid, but note by all the search engines, and now it’s the customer’s choice.
    • Start their own search engine. They have all the pieces already. Push the privacy angle, sell ads like they do in the App Store and news apps.

      Although I appreciate your effort, we absolutely do not want apple further vertically integrate. Please read about it in the sidebar. These companies are cancer and need breaking up desperately.
