eBay subsidiary TCGplayer has abruptly announced plans to shut down its authentication center in Syracuse, N.Y., eliminating the jobs of hundreds of union workers who have been bargaining their first contract with the company.

    Good? I haven’t been able to authenticate into my own eBay account for years. Its trash ML false positives.

    What will replace it?

    Edit: ugh, this was a center for authenticating dumb sports related products. I guess they don’t have one for authenticating people, which is why its so impossible to use ebay

      Obviously, eBay/TCGPlayer will try to replace it with something that won’t unionise so they can continue to take advantage of their staff.

      Fuck them. I’m from Australia, where if a company tried this it would be expected they’d be raked over the coals. I assume this is the US, but I hope TCGPlayer is held accountable.
