Because the answer is “passing through” both when you ask, it’s negated once (by the one liar), regardless of who is “answering” first.
The one on the left doesn’t lie.
But i never understand this riddle or why the solution-question works. Me no smart.
Other than diagramming, the simple answer is that by asking what the other would say, you’re basically asking one to ask the other.
Because the answer is “passing through” both when you ask, it’s negated once (by the one liar), regardless of who is “answering” first.
That’s a nice intuitive explanation!
