Security researchers say Meta and Yandex used native Android apps to listen on localhost ports, allowing them to link web browsing data to user identities and bypass typical privacy protections.

    Why so little?

    The fine for this kind of intentional non-compliance with the spirit of the law they’ve already fallen foul of in the past should be an existential threat to them. Something like 200% of revenue from relevant geo for the next 5 years.

      Why more? The ruling class does not fight their own. Its just enough so it looks good to the ordinary person.

          You mean in terms of fining these megacorps? Nah, its the bare minimum and its just food for the “centrists” to use against those who denounce the cruelty of capitalism alltogether.
