The world is burning, and it’s about time you start organizing. To learn how to do it as a tech worker within the tech sector, Tech Workers Coalition (TWC) is the best place to start.

In this session you will discover what TWC is, how you can join a local or global chapter, and the many initiatives going on around the world for you to contribute to.

We have two identical sessions to accommodate different time zones, so please sign up for the one that works best for you — can’t wait to see you there!

You do realize that for those lucky enough to end their workday at 5pm, they will then be commuting home right? Neither of these sessions accommodates the west coast.

First, i didnt make this. I crossposted it for your convenience.

Second, I see multiple options here. Its not a mandated course you have to finish. You go there ONCE and meet with the people and connect from there.

I know that because i AM in a union as a tech worker. Not this one either because I’m radical.

And additionally, please make contact, maybe by looking at the OP and asking them POLITELY if there are alternatives that better fit your and other people’s schedules. They’re likely doing this unpaid and just out of the greatness of their heart. A ton of their very expensive time likely goes into this work.

As you will probably see: you will be the person that holds these “later in the day” conferences because thats how union work goes. It is entirely different than the comfortable world we live in.

Everything anti capitalistic works by doing it yourself, coming up with ideas, functioning as a team. Its a great experience if you hate the current system but BOY will people hate it who just think 2$ more would be nice.
