I’ve setup some push notification alerts for when there’s a scheduled maintenance or outage along with this RSS feed
    https://status.bitwarden.com/state_feed/feed

Have you considered self hosting with vaultwarden?

At least then it’s very apparent when it is a you problem rather than a them problem 😅

I literally just did this a couple weeks ago and it’s been great so far. Able to run it on my NAS through the same Cloudflare tunnel I use for Emby.

I ended up being lazy and just running it as a Homeassistant add-on, but end result is the same.

Ah, yeah it’s just a docker app running on TrueNAS. To be honest, the hardest part was getting cloudflare setup, but only because I’d never done it before.

And the configuration changes you made during the troubleshooting process mean that, even when the server’s back up, your setup won’t work.

I was working overnight support the night crowdstrike shit the bed. Our systems were fine but payments stopped processing. Nobody up the chain from me awake so we had to wait an hour for news stories to roll in before we knew what was happening.

You don’t spend hours on bitwarden on a sunday. You do something else.

Well I’m bedridden and deaf, don’t know anyone who speaks sign language, so my life is on screens.

Oh I can relate to this.

I did a full factory wipe of my router and winsock reset when WinMX went down forever.

Good times with WinMX. Apparently there’s now a version called DarkMX.

There’s nothing worse than taking extreme measures to troubleshoot a problem with a third party system that’s out of your control.
