I think he will, but there might be a real primary challenge.

I’m leaning towards “no”. His fragile ego will have taken two nasty blows in a row. Plus in four years he’ll be even older and more fragile, and it’s already pretty bad.

If I’m right, I’m sure he’ll endorse some other maga-clown instead.

No. They are susceptible to be influenced and manipulated by populist ideas. If it isn’t Trump someone else will do the same with them.

true, but i think the comment aims more at “it doesn’t have to be this specific con man, they’d fall for other con men too just the same way”

My point is that anyone can be conned by the right con man. Our status as Trump opposers does not render us immune to malicious deceit.

I don’t mean to excuse the trumpists entirely. I’m just pointing out that without Trump to focus them, they don’t become radicalized, and never become a problem.

Trump voters are the victim of a con, but the con is bigger than Trump. Conservatism in general is a con that needs misinformation networks like talk radio, fox news, facebook groups, etc. Without having been steeped in that bullshit for 40+ years, Trump would never have succeeded. It’s the whole ecosystem that’s doing the radicalization, not just Trump.

If he still lives and isn’t a senile potato sure. Though he already almost got beat by Nikki Haley in the last primaries.

Some more extreme right winger will probably take Trumps place in 2028. Gotta keep sliding right.

“almost” is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. I think she never got more than 20%, which is insane for any challenger to someone “incumbant-like”, but she didn’t come close to almost beating him.

I suspect that if he loses again, maybe the republican party gets actually serious about rebuking him, like they kind of did after January 6th for a minute, and then maybe a bit more after their embarrassing 2022 results.

I don’t think so. Republicans are both spineless cowards and vicious bullies. When the Trump fever finally breaks from losing again as well as his legal troubles, expect the backlash to be swift and bloody.

He is going to need a lot of money to stay out of jail, so yes, he will keep running to fleece until the last cent out the cultists.

Trump will ALWAYS be able to Run! He’s the FASTEST runner! Some people say he should be in the Olympics at running but he’s too nice to let those Younger Folks have all the Glory. Trump could be DEAD and his Legs will STILL be kicking and trying to Run right out of his Grave! He’s in the BEST shape of ANYONE probably in the Entire World!

Maybe, but not under the GOP I think. Id bet on DeSantis at the moment, but who knows how the next four years shakes out
