Oh man I feel that one. I ride my bike fast. Like usually around 28 km/h. But some drivers get downright agressive, and really need to get past me especially when the need to turn into a habitation area in 100 meters.
Yeah, you are allowed to drive as fast as you like on some Autobahns, but if you have an accident and your speed is deemed to be faster than safe, the insurance companies are like “nah bro, you brought this on yourself”
The computer is your friend!
What a weird thing to say.
A literral fascist isn’t Hitler or Mussolini. There are criteria for determining if a movement or person is fascist. I find Eco 's checklist, which is displayed at holocaust musea, so it has some general acceptance, quite handy.
If you can’t call litteral fascists what they are there is a serious fascist problem going on.
I admit that at some point in Januari someone stated Musk was going to face serious consequences for what he did and I replied that he wasn’t unless there was an assassin willing to shoot through a toddler. I didn’t say we need to find such a person, or someone should shoot Musk or anything like that. Just implied that he wasn’t going to face any kind of consequences of any legal nature. I’d barely count that as “glorifying violence” You can see much worse statements on Reddit every day.
It is nice here, but many of the subs that interest me have very little traffic compared to the ones on Reddit. I do hope they grow.
I feel you man, got permabanned as well. Apparently you can not say mean things about Musk, Trump and Israel there, sooner or later it’s going to be glorifying violence, and after that they sic a report bot on you or something and you get banned for multiple breaches of the rules, which are entirely ficticious (the breaches, not the rules). Afaik fascists got me banned so they’ve got one less voice calling out their bullshit.
My series fell off the gorram tv!
Yes, but it felt rushed. Still better than nothing, but a whole extra season would not be bad now would it?
Oh yes, I agree.
Well yes, I agree. My worry is indeed that funding for research is limited and our own scientists have trouble getting their work funded. It’s somewhat unfair to them bringing in the US ones and showering them in cash just to collect them. They’re not Pokémon. I’m all for more spending on research in general, it’s needed and does pay itself in the long run.
Very much so, and buys politicians to further that cause.
I do agree, but with the scientists you also need opportunities to employ them, do meaningful research, have funding for that research etc.
There certainly are needs, for example the Trump regime cancelled bird flu vaccine research and it is needed. It would be nice to add the people and what they’ve accomolished so far to our own research. But it’s not like we’ve got nothing.
Smart Americans are running from the US anyway. A lot will end up in Europe no matter what we do. Question is if it is a good idea to prioritize using these people to our own. It’s not like Europe is lacking in well educated smart people.
It’s both, the middle man gets to do his thing because of the racism of the others.
It’s what you get in civilized societies. Really the US is so far behind it gets overmaken by a bunch of what they consider 3rd world countries, while those countries have a war going on.
Seems to be the case for a lot of industries, even if not as blatant. The economy thrives when people have the means to buy products. You can make production as cheap as you want, you’re not making much profit if only the 1% can buy them.
