The most performative “hurr durr science” bullshit ever. Who fucking cares if Pluto was considered a planet when you were a kid?
Not you specifically. There are people who really seem to care about this shit.

You can map anything to anything using SteamInput…
I haven’t tried them, but Nintendo put out a set of joy-cons a while back that are literally just two NES controllers. And since you can use joy-cons with Steam, I’m thinking maybe you can use those.
I’m not sure if they still make them though so you might need to get them used or something.
Edit: These guys: https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/nintendo-entertainment-system-controllers/
If it’s a side-loading washer, you’re not supposed to close the door all the way when it isn’t in use. That’s why it smelled.
Interesting, I will have to try that. Thanks!
You can set the compatibility for all games in the Steam settings. One of the options is “Proton Experimental” which updates automatically and will use the newest version without having to manually select it each time.
That’s what I’d like for GE-Proton.
You’re acting like you made a collage. You didn’t. You typed a few words into a prompt, and an LLM used the work of other artists without their permission to spit something out.
Just make a collage next time instead, it has actual artistic value.
Wait for real? How? Do you mean the flatpak of ProtonUp-qt?
If so I’m already using both of those, but I have to open up the latter and update manually each time. I then have to manually change the compatibility settings to point to the new version.
Oh god this comment just gave me ptsd
Sounds like a republican.
Oh wow you’re just a tool then I guess… The most “republican” thing I’ve seen in this thread is you refusing to accept valid criticism about using garbage technology.
No it’s not. Not if you synthesize them into something new, which is what this comic would have been.
LLMs are the epitome of anti-creativity
Wait, what? Are we not allowed to criticize AI art unless it’s of something that we can provably draw ourselves? Lol
Maybe Pol Pot murdering intellectuals and people who wear glasses?
OK, but tbf that’s not really what the meme says.
Engineering, in general (not talking about programming) is a super conservative field. It’s crazy how many people I run into that are clearly intelligent, but have just been so silo’d into one field that they have no understanding of anything practical outside of their field.
Right click the game, click settings, click “compatibility” and choose “Linux Runtime” from the drop down.
If it is not a Linux native game, it will not be an option.
It’s all just made up categorization. It’s like that because astronomers have agreed to categorize them like that. That’s all.
