here’s my little Jarvonian worker bee
I run my back end on a HAL-9000 unit with a rockwell turbo encabulator as a proxy and to filter internet traffic. I have a couple of gibsons serving media to local users and the kids have an Okama Gamesphere and a Super Pretendo. The wife and i both use Hooli phones and i think the router is by Skynet. Sometimes i plug my Tetratonik Rippler in for work if i need the bandwidth.
All in all we are happy even though there are some permissions issues i’m still working on.

It’s a place that stays up late after the bars close and there’s a point during the night where much of the clientele is intoxicated and hungry. Fights are frequent enough to be a meme and some people think it would make a funny video game background.

i have no idea how they were viewed to the world at large; i was a teenager when these were released. I know the vibe at the time though was these were budget chips that you got if you couldn’t afford intel chips, and the cost discount came with a performance hit it wasn’t an AMD situation.
i’m pretty sure i ran a cyrix chip at some point although i think it was a likely a 486 clone until i could afford a proper discount intel chip; the celeron
personal satellite with Hatsune Miku licensed voice assistant for targeting and fire control. A few lasers of different frequency, a railgun, maybe some emergency snack pods with little chutes.
