I don’t think anybody with any power in Russia is stupid enough to try to invade a NATO country when they can’t take Ukraine with old NATO weapons. Granted Lithuania is much smaller, and I assume there’s some delusions that they’re already fighting NATO and think they’re winning, but still… This just seems like they’d be asking for a nationwide teabagging.
It’ll be continued grey zone warfare; they will try to see how much they can blur the line, see the cable cutting. Now they’ve started to give the cable cutters naval escorts, daring Nato to for the first shot
You are overselling NATO, members and leadership shown themselves as weak and unwilling to defend their territories and allies, r*ssians recieved the message.
I will give two examples:
When ru-fighter ended in turkish airspace it was shot down in less then a minute.
When multiple shahed drones ended multiple times in polish and romanian airspace they have given strong worded warnings.
Your reaction is what I’m talking about, there is 0 chances of world war starting from someone destroying a drone over their own territory, actually it lowers the chances of world war. Yet there are nations that won’t even defend their territory and ones that would. You can’t negotiate with an empire over not becoming another colony.
It might look insignificant, it just shows weakness and that it’s acceptable to attack NATO members as long as it’s light/small-scale, at worst you’ll get strong words in return.
That’s really not clear from your post. You make the point yourself that Turkey is a NATO member. There’s an argument to be made that it’s not worth Poland/Romania showing their capabilities shooting down drones.

Tap for spoiler
Yes, I know that Turkey is NATO member.
There are degrees, starting world wars over a fighter getting shot down or drones being in the wrong airspace is a huge overreaction.
Whether and how they would respond to an invasion of a NATO member is untested.

I’m not able to follow your argument - are you trying to contrast the Turkish and Polish responses?
Yes.
